Nana Owusu Odum is the founder and CEO of GoldCoast Food Group. He is a Strategist and Business/Financial Analyst with extensive experience in the oil and gas, financial services and food industries spanning more than fifteen years of continuous active business engagements.

Nana has a thorough understanding of the global business environment, strategy (formulation, implementation and measurement) and equipped with skill sets for engaging stakeholders across multiple industries. He is an articulate writer with deep knowledge of economics, finance and general management.

Prior to establishing brands like Sankofa Natural Spices, Deedew, OCM, Tealeys and Huga, Nana spent more than a decade leading, advising, structuring and re-structuring several Joint Ventures for multi-national companies across Africa, Europe, Asia and North America.

Nana also worked extensively in the oil and gas industry where he assumed various responsibilities for formulating and executing corporate and business development strategies and maintaining strategic relationships with both existing and prospective clients through stakeholder engagements and client/partner liaison and local content advisory/support. He was also responsible for drafting market entry strategies and business plans for businesses and managing the formation of new Joint Ventures from pre-entry, through incorporation to positioning. He was Lead commercial manager in all JV proposals and discussions; leading JV teams across Ghana, Monaco, Paris, Amsterdam, London and Aberdeen and representing RDFC Africa on various boards and executive management meetings.

Nana’s early career was in Banking and Finance where he worked at E-process International (Ecobank Group) as a project cost analyst responsible for monitoring and analysing the costs of 15+ projects across Africa. He also worked in investment banking as a research analyst with responsibilities for Economic and Equity Analysis.

Nana won the Agribusiness category at the 40 under 40 awards in 2021.

Nana is versatile, proactive and result-oriented with a passion for value creation. He is the author of several articles in National News Papers and was a regular contributor to finance and economic discussions on National television.

Nana Owusu Odum holds an MBA in Oil and Gas Management from Coventry University (London Campus), an MSC in International Finance from the Middlesex University Business School (UK) and a BA (Hons) Economics and Political Science from the University of Ghana.

Nana has an avid interest in books, martial arts, scrabble, fine art and classical music.
