Accountant

Bright Afetorgbor is the Accountant at GoldCoast Food, Herbs and Spices Limited. He has served as an Accountant for the past 3years. Mr. Afetorgbor is passionate and focused on making sure the financial information / statements of the company comply fully with all the accounting standards set out by the International Accounting Standard Board (IASB) and the laws of Ghana to prevent any future financial liabilities. He also makes strategic inputs in broad company financial and non-financial decision making.

Prior to his current role at GoldCoast Food Herbs and Spices Limited, he served as an Accountant for Merite Insurance Brokers Limited and a part-time accountant at Jesus Power Engine Oil Center in Bibiani during which he led the development of manual systems for the first time in recording financial transactions.

 

Mr. Afetorgbor served as a management trainee for State Housing Company Limited at the Ashanti Zone with responsibilities for managing the estate houses in Bibiani in the Western North Region. He also served as a direct sales representative at Republic Bank Ghana Limited (Asankragwa Branch).

Mr. Afetorgbor has won several awards such as the best performance senior supervisor for first quarter (1st) of 2024, the best performance senior supervisor for 2023 and the best performance senior supervisor for third (3rd) quarter of 2022.

Bright Afetorgbor is a professional Accountant and an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant Ghana (ICAG) and a final level student of Chartered Institute of Management Accountant (CIMA). He holds a master’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA) as well as Higher National Diploma in Accounting from Sunyani Technical University (STU), Sunyani.
